Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what Seaside Buddy (the "Company", "we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Seaside Buddy website and the subscription dashboard (the "Service").

1. What We Collect

• Account details: your email address, used to sign you in with a one-time code, and any profile details you enter, such as your company name and website.
• Your strategy and settings: the pillars, goals, and preferences you set up in the dashboard.
• Your marketing data: the metrics and files you connect or upload, such as LinkedIn exports, newsletter and email stats, website analytics (GA4), Search Console data, and bookings. This is your data, brought in to power your dashboard.
• Payment details: handled by our payment provider, Stripe. We receive confirmation of your subscription and basic billing details. We do not see or store your full card number.
• Your AI provider key: the API key you supply for the AI features, stored encrypted and used only to run those features for you.
• Usage and site data: basic analytics on the public website through Google Analytics (GA4), and standard technical logs.

2. How We Use It

• To provide and run your dashboard and its features.
• To process your subscription and payments through Stripe.
• To send you service messages, such as your login code and account notices.
• To improve and support the Service.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Where Your Data Is Stored and Who Processes It

We use a small set of trusted providers to run the Service:

• Supabase hosts the database and your login. Your data is isolated to your own account.
• Stripe processes payments.
• Resend sends transactional email, such as your login code.
• Kit sends marketing email, if you have opted in.
• Anthropic (Claude) processes the content of an AI request when you run an AI feature, using the key you provided. Your AI usage is governed by Anthropic's own terms and privacy policy.

4. How We Protect It

Your AI provider key is encrypted at rest and is never shown back in the browser. Each account's data is separated so that one account cannot read another account's data. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.

5. Your Choices and Rights

You can view and edit your settings in the dashboard, export your data, and request that we delete your account and its data. To make a request, contact us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law.

6. Data Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. If you cancel and ask us to delete your account, we remove your data, except anything we must keep for legal or accounting reasons, such as basic payment records.

7. Cookies and Analytics

The public website uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand general traffic. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy as the Service evolves. We will post the updated version here with a new date.
